In tribute to a remarkable journey, this monograph captures the essence of Diana's fifty years of love and partnership. It is a heartfelt collection of plates, lovingly assembled by those who have borne witness to a life beautifully shared.
A retrospective is a strange thing to assemble for two people still very much in the middle of it. Mum, Dad — fifty years on, you are not finished, and we would not dare to suggest otherwise. Still, on the occasion of your golden anniversary, the four of us sat at the kitchen table in Sligo, opened the boxes you have never thrown away, and chose what to keep.
What follows is a monograph, in the proper sense — a single subject, attended to with care. Photographs from the people who were in the room. Captions from the people who wrote them. We have edited for length but not for tone, and we have removed exactly one photograph from 1987 at Dad's request. The rest is here.
The book is dedicated, with our love, to the two people who made all of us. Bound in Sligo, autumn 2026 — Aoife, Niall, Saoirse & Conor.
